How do you find error notes?
Errors can be located through diligent searching and some good luck. Typically error currency is found by bank tellers or identified by sharp-eyed members of the public. In recent years, ATM's have been the source of a growing percentage of error paper money, especially in the ten and twenty dollar denominations. Ultimately, most of these discoveries find their way into collector and dealer hands, so the best source for misprinted notes is probably at coin and currency shows.
